         WE ARE LOCATED IN A FAMOUS BUILDING
       WITH A HISTORY OF MUSIC AND THEATER

   The Wyoming was built in 1907 as a sumptuous 'Country Cottage' for the families of the wealthy Lower Manhattan Captains of Industry and Finance. It possessed the large rooms, high ceilings, thick walls and stunning interior decor and was the talk of New York's elite. As time passed the 'Country Haven' found itself in the midst of an explosion of growth and modern infrastructure. Eventually the Wyoming found itself at the top of the Times Square Theater District and at the confluence of almost every transportation system available.....perfect for performers, musicians, writers, composers, producers, and their agents. To name just a few, it has been common to find Paul Newman, Enrico Caruso, Flo Zeigfield, Luciano Pavrotti, Mary Ford, Lisa Minnelli, Cindy Lauper, Alexander Cohen, Jackie Mason and many more coming and going. 1975 saw the arrival of a new tenant replacing the famous Luigi's ballet school operated on the 55th street side of the Wyoming... the Jack Kahn Piano Company. During the years of the piano company's tenancy...the wonderful rooms it occupied were used by world famous pianists, trios and groups for practice and even for some quite famous concerts. It should be no surprise that this wonderful history should be continued by arrival in 2005 of the 853 Rehearsal Studios and the wonderful teachers, coaches and their talented and (quite often) world renown clients. In 2009/2010 the Wyoming's exterior was completely restored to its 1907 gorgeous condition and the 853 Rehearsal Studios rooms were restored and redecorated also  Come join us...you be glad you did.
